Opportunity Finder

Opportunity Finder is Standout's proactive prospecting workspace. It scans live CRM data for contacts and properties that may justify a sales or lettings follow-up and ranks the opportunities so staff can start with the strongest conversations.

Opportunity Finder is accessed from the main Standout navigation under Contacts → Opportunity Finder.

What Opportunity Finder identifies

The current opportunity types are:

Property to sell

Applicants who are still marked Looking and whose position indicates that they have a property to sell.

The highest-priority example is a buyer who has told the agency that they have a property to sell but that property is not yet on the market. Standout excludes contacts whose property is already actively listed with the agency, reducing duplicate or misleading opportunities.

Lapsed valuation

Properties that remain at Awaiting decision after the valuation and have had no relevant change for a period of time.

These are potential instruction-recovery conversations.

Win-back vendor

Properties that were withdrawn from the market and may now be worth revisiting. Opportunity Finder looks for withdrawn instructions after an initial cooling-off period and within the configured historical window.

Dormant applicant

Contacts still marked Looking who have had no recent recorded activity. These are useful for reconfirming requirements before the lead becomes stale.

Opportunity score

Each opportunity has a score. Higher scores indicate a stronger or more time-sensitive reason to contact the customer.

The page highlights opportunities scoring 90 or above as Hot.

The score is a prioritisation aid, not a replacement for staff judgement. Review the reason shown on the opportunity card before making contact.

Filtering opportunities

The Opportunity Finder screen can be filtered by:

  • opportunity type;
  • branch;
  • minimum score;
  • contact name, address or reference;
  • whether hidden opportunities should also be shown.

Use Reset to return to the full live list.

Working an opportunity

Each opportunity card can provide links to the related Contact and, where relevant, the Property.

Available workflow actions are:

Create follow-up task

Creates a real Standout diary task for follow-up, linked to the relevant contact/property where available. The task is due on the following day and can then be managed through the normal Task List and Diary workflows.

Mark contacted

Records that the opportunity has been contacted and temporarily removes it from the active queue.

Snooze

Hide an opportunity for 7, 30 or 90 days when the conversation is valid but not appropriate today.

Dismiss

Remove the opportunity from the active queue when it is not useful or no longer relevant.

Restore

Enable Show hidden opportunities to review contacted, snoozed, dismissed or task-created items. Use Restore to put an opportunity back into the active queue.

Recommended daily workflow

  1. Open Opportunity Finder at the start of the prospecting period.
  2. Work from the highest scores downward.
  3. Open the Contact before calling to review the customer's history and current position.
  4. Create a follow-up task if another action is required later.
  5. Mark contacted, snooze or dismiss every opportunity you have dealt with so the queue remains useful.
  6. Periodically review hidden opportunities for items that should be restored.

How the list is generated

The opportunities themselves are calculated live from existing Standout CRM information. Standout does not maintain a separate duplicate prospecting database.

A small workflow-state record is used only to remember actions such as contacted, snoozed, dismissed and follow-up task creation.

Good data improves Opportunity Finder

Opportunity Finder is most effective when staff keep the CRM current. In particular:

  • keep applicant status and position accurate;
  • record communications consistently;
  • update valuation and property statuses promptly;
  • record a buyer's property-to-sell position;
  • close or update requirements when a customer's plans change.
