Landmark Anti Money Laundering Checking

Standout integrates with Landmark for AML checks where the agency/branch is configured to use it. The important part of the workflow is accurate identity information before the order is submitted.

Solicitors and contractors are exempt from this Standout AML workflow.

Before starting a check

Confirm the customer's information is complete and accurate. Depending on the check/contact, Standout may require information including:

  • title;
  • first/last name;
  • date of birth;
  • current residential address;
  • house number/name, road, town/county;
  • time at address;
  • National Insurance number where used;
  • driving licence where used.

Check the information before placing an order. Incorrect identity/address data can result in failed checks or unnecessary additional orders.

Single contact workflow

  1. Open the Contact.
  2. Go to the Money Laundering/AML area.
  3. Review the populated identity/address fields.
  4. Correct any incomplete/incorrect information.
  5. Save the contact if you are not ordering immediately.
  6. When satisfied, choose Place order.
  7. Wait for/process the Landmark result.
  8. Review the result and supporting report.

If Place order is not available, check mandatory information such as time at the address.

Multiple contacts

Where the contact information indicates two individuals, Standout can prepare multiple people for the AML order. Review each person's details separately before submission.

Customer Portal AML workflow

An eligible customer can provide onboarding information and AML consent through Customer Portal. If the branch is configured for Landmark, Start / refresh AML check hands the request into the same Standout Landmark workflow.

Before using it, the customer should have saved their date of birth, residential address/postcode and AML consent.

Customer Portal does not make the customer responsible for the compliance decision. Staff should review the Landmark result in the normal Contact AML area.

Supporting documents

Customer Portal can also collect private identity/proof-of-address/source-of-funds documents. These uploads are not public property media. Staff review them from Contact → More actions → Customer Portal submissions.

Generating the AML PDF

Where the Landmark result supports it, generate/store the report using the existing AML workflow so it is retained with the appropriate customer record.

If a check fails or needs review

Do not repeatedly order new checks without understanding the reason. Check the identity/address data and follow your agency's compliance procedure.
